The 35 remaining strikers played the World Five, then chose which of the top six to line up beside. Eleven were picked for the match against Japan U-20.

The rule
Format
- Each cleared team of five played a match against five of the world’s best. Taking part mattered, winning did not.
- Ego then named the top six players in Blue Lock and paired them into Team A, Team B and Team C.
- The other 29 chose which of those three teams to play for.
- Five matches were played. Each pair played at least three; Team A’s pair played four.
- Meguru Bachira, ranked seventh, was the only player to get two games.
Getting through
Eleven players were named to the Blue Lock Eleven for the Japan U-20 match. The rest stayed in the programme and could still play their way in.
