Four stages, from a solo shooting test to team games where the winners took a player off the losers. A team had to reach five to clear.

The rule
Format
- 125 strikers came through from the First Selection.
- Stage one was solo: 100 goals in 90 minutes past BLUE LOCK MAN, a holographic keeper that got harder after 30 goals and again after 60.
- Rankings were reissued after stage one, based on how quickly each player finished it.
- Stage two was forming a team of three. Stage three was three against three, first to five goals.
- The winning team took one player from the losing team. The losers dropped back a stage.
- The clear stage was four against four, and the winners took a fifth player.
- Matches were played on a 30 by 40 metre pitch rather than a full one.
Getting through
A team of five cleared the round. A player left alone was told they were out, though the Wild Card qualifier was open to them.
